A named expert behind every guide, and what that looks like for Jessica Barker

The plain-English version of what we're building, what we're asking, and what's in it for you.

Prepared by Adam Parker, Muswell Rose · July 2026 · Draft: every word below is yours to correct before anything goes live.

The context

What's changed in search

Google, and now ChatGPT, Perplexity and the other AI assistants, increasingly decide who to recommend based on whether a real, checkable person stands behind the content. Anonymous advice is being discounted. A named expert whose career can be verified (their licence, their firm, their LinkedIn) is exactly what these systems now reward, especially on money topics like insolvency.

The project

What we're doing

We run a group of UK comparison and advice sites: MerchantHQ (card payments), MarketInvoice (invoice finance), FundBiz (business lending) and others. One of them is LTD Turnaround, which helps limited-company directors in financial difficulty understand their options and reach the right professional early.

We're building an Expert Voices network: content in each field is reviewed by a named specialist in that field, and each specialist gets a proper public profile page on muswellrose.com with their bio, career history, photo, and links out to their real-world footprint. Our payments guides are reviewed by a former Mastercard vice president. For insolvency, that reviewer should be a licensed insolvency practitioner.

What it looks like on the page

Behind that line sits a profile page with your full career story and links to the Insolvency Service register, your LinkedIn and Xeinadin, so anyone (or any AI) checking the claim finds it holds up.

What this looks like for our payments reviewer

Your specialisms

Shown as the expert on the topics themselves

Your profile isn't just a CV. It sets out your specialist topics, and each one links to the matching guides you review, so you are visibly the named expert on those exact subjects, not just a name at the bottom of a page. From your career so far, we'd expect the set to look something like this (you'd shape the final list):

Creditors' voluntary liquidation Members' voluntary liquidation Company administration Company voluntary arrangements Compulsory liquidation Director conduct & duties Creditors' meetings Charity trustee advice Bankruptcy

Underneath, the page carries the machine-readable version of the same thing, so Google and the AI assistants associate your name with those topics specifically. When someone (or something) asks who knows about creditors' voluntary liquidation, the trail leads to you.

Full profile (expert page)

Jessica Barker is a licensed insolvency practitioner with seven years in corporate insolvency, advising company directors, charity trustees and creditors on liquidations, administrations and company rescue.

She obtained her corporate insolvency appointment-taking licence in July 2025 and is now Associate Director & Licensed Insolvency Practitioner at Xeinadin in Manchester, where she leads corporate insolvency appointments (solvent and insolvent liquidations and administrations) and provides early-stage advice to company directors, charity trustees and other stakeholders.

Before Xeinadin she was an Assistant Manager at Cowgills (2023–2025), running a team of three and a portfolio of administrations, insolvent liquidations and bankruptcies, including CVAs and court windings-up, following a spell at KBL Advisory. Earlier she spent almost four years at The Business Debt Advisor in Manchester, progressing from Corporate Insolvency Administrator to Insolvency Assistant Manager with her own caseload of administrations, CVLs, MVLs and bankruptcies: managing cases from inception to closure, investigating directors' conduct, attending creditors' meetings, handling asset realisation and preparing statutory reports.

Her route into insolvency came through the law: paralegal and debt-management roles at Parry and Welch Solicitors and Caddick Davies Solicitors, and a pro-bono advisory role at Citizens Advice. A grounding in debt work from the creditor's side of the table.

Short bio (appears under the review credit)

Licensed to take corporate insolvency appointments since July 2025, she leads solvent and insolvent liquidations and administrations and advises company directors and charity trustees at every stage of financial difficulty. Both ways

Why it works for you too

The links run in both directions, and that's the point:

Muswell Rose profileBio, career history, verified links
LTD Turnaround"Reviewed by" on every insolvency guide

You've just taken your licence, and the public record of your career is still being written. A verified profile page, review credits on ranking guides, and a growing set of pages that corroborate each other are career assets: to Google, to the AI assistants, and to anyone who searches your name before instructing you. It's genuine cross-corroboration, not link-swapping: every claim on either side is simply true and checkable.

The enquiries

If the guides generate work

As mentioned on the phone: these guides exist to get directors to the right professional early, and they generate real enquiries. If a reader needs an insolvency practitioner, you are more than welcome to take those leads. If it turns into something larger, then of course we'll have a proper chat about how that works.

And further down the flow it can run both ways: enquiries that aren't right for you, or sit next to insolvency rather than inside it (funding, restructuring, credit), have a natural home across the group, and referrals can pass in both directions as the relationship develops.

The ask

What we'd need from you

The deeper you can go, the better. If something has your name on it anywhere and you're not sure it counts, send it to us anyway and let us judge. We would far rather sift through fifty things and use ten than miss the one that matters.
